NHCA-Dallas Fort Worth

Dallas-Fort Worth stands as one of the fastest-growing metropolitan regions in the United States and a national powerhouse in construction, infrastructure, and commercial development. As the fourth-largest metro area in the country, DFW continues to experience sustained population growth, corporate relocations, industrial expansion, and large-scale residential development. Major transportation corridors, distribution hubs, mixed-use developments, healthcare campuses, data centers, and master-planned communities are reshaping the region's skyline and economic footprint.

The launch of the NHCA Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter reflects our commitment to ensuring Hispanic construction professionals - across trades, management, development, and entrepreneurship - are fully represented, supported, and positioned for leadership within this expanding market.

Chapter Focus

To unite and uplift every Hispanic voice in the Dallas-Fort Worth construction and development community from seasoned business owners and project managers to skilled tradespeople, apprentices, and frontline laborers by championing workplace safety, honoring family legacies, expanding bilingual and bicultural career pathways, and creating access to education, mentorship, and fair opportunity. Through advocacy, collaboration, and shared pride in our craft, we build not just structures, but stronger futures for our families, our industry, and our communities.

A Message From Yuri Barrera, NHCA-Dallas Fort Worth, President

Construction isn't just what we do it's who we are.

In my family, hard work was passed down like an heirloom. My journey from co-founding B&B Realty Investments in 2007 to leading Barrera Construction & Design, Third Street Inc and managing hundreds of renovation projects across Texas has always been rooted in the belief that every person on a job site, matters: the estimator, the electrician, the apprentice carrying tools, the single parent working overtime to build a better life.

That's why I'm proud to lead the NHCA Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter. We're not just supporting business owners we're lifting up the entire Hispanic construction family. Whether you speak English, Spanish, or both; whether you run a company or swing a hammer we see you, we honor your craft, and we're fighting for your seat at the table.

Together, we'll build safer worksites, create clearer paths for the next generation, and ensure our community's legacy isn't just in the buildings we raise but, in the lives, we uplift along the way.

Manos a la obra!
