Advancing Education, Ownership, and Unity in the Hispanic Construction Industry
Now more than ever, the Hispanic community in construction must unite, grow stronger, and rise together. We already make up more than one-third of the entire construction workforce, and we’re projected to soon become half of the industry. But it’s not enough to simply be present — we must also lead. We can’t continue being just the labor force that powers this industry; we must also become the voice that guides it.
At NHCA, we firmly believe that unity is the first step toward collective power. When we come together, we inspire. When we organize, we move forward. And when we educate ourselves, we transform our future.
One of our most important efforts is capacity building. As our ??State of Hispanics in Construction Report shows, one of the biggest challenges we face as a community is educational attainment. While only 1.34% of non-Hispanics in construction have no formal education, that number jumps to 7.47% among Hispanics. That means roughly 1 in 10 Hispanic construction workers lacks the educational background needed to grow beyond general labor roles.
This doesn’t just limit them — it traps them.
And we cannot let that number grow.
We won’t let that number grow.
That’s why we created ??NHCA at Avance — an event designed to bring together business owners, rising leaders, and workers committed to their development. It’s a call to all who believe that knowledge is power, leadership is built through example, and growth must be collective.
Our objective is clear: build bridges between construction businesses and their Hispanic employees. We want our tools, trainings, and opportunities to reach those who need them most. And the best part? Our membership is still free. We are clearing the path forward — but we need your help to walk it.
We invite you to share our website, event registration, and contact information with any construction business owner you know. Because we owe this opportunity to every Hispanic construction worker out there laying bricks with a dream to grow.
Together, we won’t just build homes.
We’ll build the future of our community.
