NHCA-Las Vegas

Las Vegas, a city renowned for its dazzling skyline and world-famous entertainment industry, is rapidly becoming a hotspot for innovative construction and development. Known for its iconic structures and ambitious projects, Las Vegas's construction market is booming with a unique mix of residential, commercial, and hospitality developments. The construction industry here not only transforms the urban landscape but also creates abundant opportunities for growth, employment, and cutting-edge advancements. The launch of the NHCA's new chapter in Las Vegas underscores our commitment to harnessing this vibrant market, offering Hispanic construction professionals a dedicated platform to connect, exchange knowledge, and lead the way in industry excellence.

Chapter Focus 2024

As we progress through the year, our chapter is committed to enhancing our members' skills in Contract Management and Bidding & Estimating, ensuring they are equipped with standardized, effective methodologies. In addition, we will explore expanding Access to Capital Sources and hope to negotiate Loan Pilot Programs to facilitate smoother financing avenues for our contractors. As a board, we will also introduce initiatives to develop our Supplier Diversity Program, aiming to broaden opportunities for diverse vendors and contractors within the industry. These strategic areas of focus, combined with our ongoing development programs, are set to empower our members with the tools and knowledge necessary for professional growth and successful project execution in the construction sector.

A Message From Javier Otero, NHCA-Las Vegas, President

The City of Las Vegas is bursting at the seams with growth and opportunities. Commercial and residential construction is at an all-time high. As President of the Las Vegas chapter of the National Hispanic Construction Alliance, I'm excited to lead local efforts to better position Hispanic construction workers and contractors for the opportunities ahead. We have a lot of work to do but I know that our board is prepared to help create value for our members by highlighting and leveraging supplier diversity opportunities. We have a very established construction industry in Nevada. Helping Hispanics excel, through training related to contract management and bidding & estimating, are just a few priorities we need to champion for our members going forward.
