NHCA-Los Angeles

Los Angeles is not just a bustling metropolis but a pivotal heartland of construction and architectural innovation. With its dynamic skyline and continuous growth, the city's construction market is among the largest and most diverse in the United States, driven by both residential and commercial projects. The construction sector in Los Angeles not only shapes the city's physical landscape but also creates substantial opportunities for development, employment, and innovation. Launching the NHCA’s first chapter here underscores our commitment to harnessing this vibrant market’s potential, offering a unique platform for Hispanic construction professionals to connect, learn, and lead.

Chapter Focus 2024

Over the next 12 months it will be our goal, as a chapter, to help contractors better understand and applying the principles of Bidding & Estimating in a more uniform manner. Contract Management will also be a top priority to ensure our members are not only actively employed, but also protected as they interface with others in the construction industry. We hope that these two areas of focus, augmented and reinforced through Mentor Match and Leadership 360, will propel our members forward in the coming year. For those looking to explore the next step in their career, our Community Development Academy will provide an opportunity to explore underwriting practices necessary to develop your own projects.

A Message From Adrian Avila, NHCA-Los Angeles, President

I'm thrilled to serve as the inaugural president of NHCA-Los Angeles. Our industry presents numerous challenges and opportunities for Hispanic contractors. Collaborating with NHCA National and the entire NHCA-LA Board, I am eager to devise and execute a local strategy aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Hispanic contractors, enabling them to tackle challenges and capitalize on opportunities in the broader Los Angeles market.
