NHCA-Phoenix

Phoenix stands as a thriving hub of development and architectural progress in the American Southwest. Known for its expansive growth and evolving cityscape, Phoenix's construction market is robust, characterized by a vibrant blend of residential and commercial developments. The construction industry here not only redefines the urban environment but also fosters significant opportunities for advancement, employment, and technological innovation. The establishment of the NHCA's new chapter in Phoenix is a testament to our dedication to tapping into this dynamic market, providing a dedicated space for Hispanic construction professionals to network, share expertise, and drive leadership in the industry.

Chapter Focus 2024

As we progress through the year, our chapter is committed to enhancing our members' skills in Contract Management and Bidding & Estimating, ensuring they are equipped with standardized, effective methodologies. In addition, we will explore expanding Access to Capital Sources and hope to negotiate Loan Pilot Programs to facilitate smoother financing avenues for our contractors. As a board, we will also introduce initiatives to develop our Supplier Diversity Program, aiming to broaden opportunities for diverse vendors and contractors within the industry. These strategic areas of focus, combined with our ongoing development programs, are set to empower our members with the tools and knowledge necessary for professional growth and successful project execution in the construction sector.

A Message From Tony Gomez, NHCA-Phoenix, President

I’m excited to be taking on the role of President for the Phoenix chapter of the National Hispanic Construction Alliance. I’m a third-generation construction worker and my family and I have made a lot of progress in the industry. However, I can’t help but wonder how much quicker that progress could have been achieved with the assistance of an organization like NHCA. Over the next 12 months our board and chapter will focus on the various resources available under the Construction Management Academy. Contract Management, Bidding & Estimating and access to the right Capital Sources are just a few of the items we hope to share with our members to help them grow as contractors and business owners.
