Leading the charge of this groundbreaking program is Gus Hoyas, Principal Partner of ALTO FSI. His journey in the industry is a testament to the power of effective mentorship and the importance of scaling businesses responsibly. Hoyas attributes his ability to overcome the challenges associated with scaling a business to the invaluable insights and guidance he received from seasoned professionals during his formative years in the industry.

Poder Latina

Poder Latina, a groundbreaking initiative led by trailblazing female leaders in the construction sector, will be spearheaded by Tina Marie Hernandez, a distinguished figure in the industry. Hernandez is not only a successful general contractor but also an accomplished book author, currently working on a new publication highlighting the contributions and experiences of Latinas in construction. This program is a transformative movement aimed at fundamentally enhancing diversity, empowerment, and career advancement opportunities specifically for Hispanic women in the industry. Addressing the unique challenges Hispanic women face, including cultural and gender biases, Poder Latina offers a multi-faceted support system tailored to their specific needs. Its ultimate goal is to foster work environments that are not only diverse but also inclusive, equitable, and conducive to the success of Hispanic women, solidifying Tina Marie Hernandez's vision of empowering and elevating the role of Latinas in the construction sector.

Community Health is a specialized initiative aimed at addressing the unique social determinants that impact the health and well-being of construction industry professionals. Recognizing the critical role of factors such as job security, work conditions, and access to healthcare, this comprehensive program offers safety training workshops and conducts workplace assessments to identify health-affecting factors. In collaboration with insurance companies, we aim to implement safety measures that will lower incidents on construction sites. We are also partnering with health insurance providers to negotiate affordable health coverage options for construction workers.

Leadership 360

Leadership 360 a comprehensive suite of classes tailored to develop essential leadership skills for today's fast-paced work environment. The curriculum covers a range of topics, including Strategic Decision-Making for analyzing complex situations, Effective Communication for both written and verbal expression, Team Management for leading diverse groups, Emotional Intelligence for interpersonal interactions, and Innovation and Problem-Solving for creative thinking.

Instructor Development:
Members participating in the Leadership 360 program will receive specialized training to become instructors based on the NAHREP 10 principles. This means they will not only learn these wealth-building principles but also be equipped to teach and share them with others, thereby expanding the reach and impact of the NAHREP 10 within the organization.

Leadership Skills Enhancement:
The program provides a platform for members to enhance their leadership skills significantly. By participating in local, regional, and national boards, members can actively contribute to the organization's growth while refining their leadership abilities. This involvement offers hands-on experience in leading, presenting, organizing events, and more.

Coaching Opportunities:
Members who have served as local chapter presidents will have the opportunity to become coaches for local chapters. This role enables them to mentor and guide the next generation of leaders within the organization, fostering leadership continuity and development at the grassroots level.

Alumni Program:
As members progress and reach the highest levels of leadership within NHCA, they become eligible for the alumni program. This program is designed to help them take their personal career goals and aspirations to the next level. It offers advanced networking opportunities, specialized training, and resources tailored to their specific needs.

Emergency Response Team, involves a range of activities and deliverables aimed at effectively responding to various types of emergencies or disasters. The specific deliverables will vary depending on the nature of the emergency, but some common key deliverables include resource mobilization, community engagement and the execution of a recovery and continuity plan. The specific resources required to meet the activities listed above, include but are not limited to construction materials, skilled labor, equipment, tools and recovery planning. These resources are essential for addressing the immediate needs of individuals and communities, affected by an emergency, that impacts their home, business or infrastructure. Effective coordination and allocation of these resources are crucial to expedite recovery efforts within affected areas.
